Broomfield, CO —The Broomfield Rotary Club and A Precious Child will host Broomfield’s only marathon on November 4 along with a half marathon, 10K and 5K races. With hundreds of runners already signed up to participate, the race committee is seeking volunteers to help with the inaugural event.
Volunteers are needed to assist with traffic control, parking, the post-race expo and party and other logistics during the race event. Interested volunteers can sign up online via the race website at broomfieldmarathon.com, or they can email Nichole Karpinsky, Director of Volunteer Services at A Precious Child, for more information at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Broomfield Trails Marathon will begin at Broomfield Community Park and will incorporate multiple trails and open spaces throughout Broomfield, Westminster and Boulder County. Race participants will enjoy panoramic mountain views and volunteer support along their routes until they cross the finish line back at the community center.
Registration is still open for those wishing to participate and can be found online at broomfieldmarathon.com. Proceeds from the multi-race event will benefit A Precious Child programs and other charities in Colorado through the Broomfield Rotary Charitable Foundation.
Both non-profits partner with other organizations to provide a positive impact for the area. The Broomfield Rotary Club has donated more than $1 million over the past decade to charitable causes, while A Precious Child has partnered with more than 300 agencies in eight surrounding counties to assist children and families in need.
